One Sided Mattresses – We make our mattresses one sided, so no flipping is needed.  When you flip a mattress, some recovery of the sleeping side does take place, however the cost effectiveness of purchasing a one sided mattress versus the extra life gained with a two sided mattress is not easily measured, and with the new 1633 fire laws, the “crowning” nature of a two sided mattresses creates a gap between the mattress and box spring allowing air in between, increasing the risk of fire damage.  Due to the new fire laws and a push for cost effectiveness, many mattress manufacturers are now making one sided beds.
Firmness – Our mattresses are not made in the standard levels of firmness that are usually used today in the industry.  We feel that this can make the decision of which one to purchase confusing, with an array of different models, available in all firmnesses.  We make our mattresses with varying levels of padding, with a firm surface at the heart.  So each of our lines has a different feel, and when you sit down on one, you can tell if that is the right firmness or softness for you, so what you feel is what you get.
Body Impressions – Body impressions will occur over time in all mattresses.  The more padding that is put into a mattress, the higher the probability for body impressions to occur.  One way to minimize this is to make sure the materials used in the mattress are quality, long lasting goods.  Gateway Mattress Factory is committed to producing a “sleepable” product; we use at least 1.5 lb. density or greater foam in all of our mattresses as we believe we have a responsibility to our customers for our product to remain a value, long after the sale.
Value – According to mattress expert said Some mattress manufacturers, while trying to find ways to make their products less expensive, are taking risks by using cheaper materials that pack down and settle quickly, causing customers to feel like they have to spend a great deal of money to obtain a mattress that will stand the test of time.  We feel that you should get a quality long-lasting product, no matter how much you pay for it.  We guarantee all of the components in our products against manufacturing defects.  See each product page for more information.
Frames – We carry two styles of frames to choose from, our Standard Adjustable Frame is sturdy and durable, and adjustable to different sizes.  Our Deluxe Single Size Wedge Lock frame is a stronger frame and it’s wedge lock design helps to eliminate frame noise.
