NASCAR and MotorSports – From a Queer Perspective

ESPN Lede is an Epic Fail

I used to think people in journalism that spelled “lead” as “lede” were stupid, but then I realized I was the stupid one.

The lede is important – and that is why I was OUTRAGED today when ESPN “News” broke into their basketball coverage to talk about the tragic crash at end of the Nationwide Race in Daytona.

But instead of making their lede the crash, they updated us on Danica Patrick – who blew her engine earlier in the day. Danica wasn’t involved in the wreck, nor was she even on track when the incident occured…. yet ESPN “News” found it more important to tell us that before reporting about a crash that seriously injured 28 people in the stands.

Give me a break.  I realize ESPN wants to spoon feed us Danica news like we are babies looking at a spoon that makes airplane noises… but this was a little too much for me.
